Cookie policy

How website storage and optional analytics technologies are used, and how you can manage your choice.

Your choice: Essential website storage and anonymous, cookieless visit measurement are always on. Analytics cookies and advertising measurement are not used unless you choose to enable them.

1. What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small text files placed on a device. Websites may also use browser local storage, session storage, scripts and similar technologies to remember choices, understand site performance and provide features. This policy uses the word “cookies” broadly to describe these technologies.

2. How GDPC uses website storage

EssentialStores your cookie choice with a random consent ID, short lived enquiry attribution and, after submission, a temporary browser session copy to render the confirmation page. Submitted requests are stored in GDPC's website lead system rather than in browser storage.

Anonymous measurementAlways on. Google Analytics receives cookieless signals, such as the page visited, the referring website and the device type, without placing cookies or a visitor identifier on your device. Google uses them to estimate overall website traffic. Cloudflare Web Analytics also counts page views, the referring website, browser and device type, country and page load speed, and shows them to GDPC only as totals. According to Cloudflare, it uses no cookies or browser storage and does not track visitors across other websites.

Form securityWhen a form is shown, Cloudflare Turnstile reviews technical signals from your browser to confirm that a person is using it. According to Cloudflare, it does not use cookies to track visitors or to show advertising.

Optional analyticsIf accepted, Google Analytics may use cookies to measure how visitors move through the site and return over time, so GDPC can improve content and conversion paths. Google Tag Manager may be used to load and manage these measurement tags.

Optional advertisingIf accepted, Google Ads and the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) may use cookies and receive an event when a visitor completes the website enquiry form or checklist request, so GDPC can measure and improve its advertising. No form answers or contact details are sent with that event.

Search performanceGoogle Search Console reports how the website appears in Google search results, such as search terms, clicks and rankings. It works from Google's own search data and places no cookies on your device.

Third party featuresMap, scheduling or social services may apply their own technologies when you follow a link or choose to use their feature. Review the provider’s own policy before sharing information.

3. Manage your choice

You can choose Essential only, optional analytics, or optional analytics and advertising measurement when the website notice appears. You can revisit the choice at any time.

To show which choice applied, GDPC keeps a record of each choice you make: the choice itself, its date, the policy version, your browser type and a shortened IP address with its last part removed. The record is linked to the random consent ID stored in your browser, not to your name or contact details.

4. Browser controls

Most browsers let you delete, block or limit cookies through browser settings. Blocking certain storage may affect preferences or site functionality. Browser controls do not necessarily stop all use of non cookie technologies or third party services you choose to access.
